Roulette Grand JeuLondon, January 21, 2003 - Leading Austrian gaming systems manufacturer, Amatic Industries, and Elo TouchSystems, worldwide leader in touch technology and a unit of Tyco Electronics, have joined forces to enhance the player's experience. As of January, the new games from Amatic come with Elo's iTouch touch-on-tube technology. Players can now enjoy more vivid colours and more realistic images, as iTouch technology eliminates the touchscreen overlay.

Amatic Industries produces a wide range of multi- and single-player casino and amusement games. Besides the constant development of new and exciting games, Amatic understood the increasing importance of satisfying the needs of the player, and how the look and feel of the video and touch performance are vitally important for the player's experience. By selecting Elo's breakthrough iTouch technology, which uses surface waves directed across the faceplate of the CRT, Amatic is now able to preserve 100% of their original picture clarity, colour and brightness, plus have about 80% less reflection than the traditional touchscreen overlays used by competitors.

Games from Amatic include Roulette Grand Jeu, a multiplayer automatic roulette game that allows up to eight players to place, change or remove bets via Elo's touch technology. Betting is very easy, just like on a real table. The player chooses his bet by simply touching the virtual table on the touchmonitor in front of him. Josef Hess of Amatic Industries adds, "The touchscreen system is superior to a live set-up as every spot on the virtual table can be comfortably reached from every player's seat. This advantageous feature has resulted in the growing popularity of Roulette Grand Jeu." Players confirm that Grand Jeu is an excellent electronic roulette game because it recreates the experience and excitement of a live roulette game.

Amatic's casino and AWP games, the C3000 and the Game Master, are also efficiently combined with Elo touch technology. The versatile and exciting bonus round features in Magic Gold, Bingo Party and Jolly Roger, to name just a few, are only possible because of the touch technology. Players distinguish these touch-driven bonus rounds, found in Amatic's games, from others machines that use limiting mechanical buttons.

Josef Hess continued, "In the case of our amusement machine, Touch Town, it is 100% touch-driven as this machine entirely lacks keys or buttons. Equipped with the excellent high quality graphics for which Amatic is renowned, Touch Town's fun and entertaining games offer players a unique experience made all the more enjoyable by Elo's iTouch system which preserves 100% of the original quality of our screens painstakingly produced by our designers."

Besides being used in Amatic's gaming systems, Elo's technology is also used in the company's NetCruiser, a public-access Internet terminal. "The Elo touch technology is one of the principal reasons why the NetCruiser terminal has become so successful," concluded Josef Hess, "as users can very comfortably surf, chat, e-mail, and perform many other web activities with the touchscreen."

Elo's iTouch system is the most revolutionary touch technology the gaming market has seen. By completely eliminating the touchscreen overlay, there is no difference between the picture quality on touch vs. non-touch monitors. Independent tests show the players prefer its super fast, sensitive touch as well. Accurate and extremely fast for two-handed play, Elo offers pixel resolution with drift-free touch performance. Consequently, players can touch smaller targets more accurately, such as internet hyperlinks.
