Elo TouchSystems and Tyco Electronics Logistics AG Settle Litigation with Happ Controls Europe LimitedHapp Agrees to Cease Sales of Touchscreens Covered by European Patent Fremont, California – December 17, 2003 – Elo TouchSystems, Inc., the global leader in touch technology and a business unit of Tyco Electronics, is pleased to announce that its affiliate, Tyco Electronics Logistics AG – the proprietor of European Patent No. 0 190 734 for surface-wave touch panels and Elo as exclusive licensee – have settled their patent infringement dispute in the United Kingdom with Happ Controls Europe Limited under the aforementioned European patent. In addition, Happ has agreed to cease all sales of touchscreens covered by the European patent and will reimburse Tyco for its legal expenses.
