Cyberview On Line Gaming Machines and Internet Kiosks Use Elo TouchSystems TouchscreensOctober 2004—On line gaming machines and Internet kiosks from Cyberview Technology, one of the world's foremost makers of state of the art multimedia entertainment systems, use touchscreens from Elo TouchSystems, the global leader in touch technology and a business unit of Tyco Electronics.

The Cyberview on line gaming machine provides players with a multiple choice of games using a simple touchscreen interface, which provides a better game experience than is possible with only buttons. Players can navigate all the games via the touchscreen enabling them to enjoy a wide variety of games all on the same machine. Operators can decide the number and types of games available on each machine.

Cyberview's Internet kiosk also features precision touchscreen technology providing operators with a sturdy, customer operated point of information (POI) solution. Already popular with the UK bookmaking industry where over 9000 terminals have been installed for fixed odds betting applications, the multimedia Internet kiosks are designed for use as self service terminals operating within a networked environment. The kiosks bring true multimedia touchscreen functionality to the user with an intuitive web browser Interface. The touchscreen technology encourages users to play longer and delivers excellent return on investment for operators.

Cyberview's on line gaming machines use Elo 19in iTouch touch on tube CRT monitors while the Internet kiosks use LCD touchscreen panels. Both use Elo TouchSystems surface wave touch technology that delivers a wide range of benefits including stable drift free operation for a touch response that is always accurate. Additional benefits include fast touch response, superior image clarity and durable, scratch resistant glass surfaces that will continue to operate even if scratched.

Cyberview On Line Gaming Machines and Internet Kiosks Use Elo TouchSystems TouchscreensPeter Greenhill, Cyberview's managing director, commented, "Our experience of Elo TouchSystems' touchmonitors and touchscreens has been extremely positive. We have found the surface wave technology to be highly reliable, accurate and, once set up, it needs no calibration unlike products from alternative suppliers we previously considered. Overall we are very satisfied with the Elo product and will be installing it in a large number of gaming machines over the next few years."

Cyberview recently became the first company in the world to achieve US GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) certification for a downloadable gaming machine and will be rolling out its Online Gaming Machine there in the near future. The company also recently signed an agreement to supply some 10,000 machines over the next three years in the Czech Republic. These machines will be equipped with Elo TouchSystems' touchscreen technology.
